8. Cody Rhodes Says He Didn’t Feel Underutilized In WWE

During a recent interview with Total Wrestling Magazine, former WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes was asked if he felt underutilized in WWE. Below is what Cody said:

“No. I feel like I was paid well and they liked Stardust and in the 10 years I was there I wasn’t off a single live event other than a three week period when I was out with my deltoid, which was right when I grew the moustache. I’d never missed a show, I’d been on everything.

The last few years I’d been featured in a match on every WrestleMania, I didn’t feel underutilised, I didn’t feel under rated. I just felt that where I was at with Stardust I was unable to shoot Stardust past say where a Cesaro or Owens was and that ship was sinking and I saw a big shiny ship which is this one I’m on now and I made the jump.”

8. “Tears started running down the sides of my cheeks” – DDP After Hearing About His Hall of Fame Induction

During an interview with Rolling Stone, Diamond Dallas Page (newest inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2017) talked about getting the call from Triple H about the Hall of Fame induction and then getting emotional. Below is what DDP said:

We were filming Positively Living, the Diamond Dallas Page three-DVD set. I’m a Jersey boy, so I was on the Jersey Shore in my hometown, and it was the end of the day and we were filming one more thing. They handed me the phone and said, “Boss wants to talk to you.”

It’s HHH. I called him a couple weeks earlier and he hadn’t gotten back to me yet, so I thought this was that return call. So we’re talking about casual stuff, and then I start to hear him talk about my career and where I’ve been and how I got here, and then it hits me – is this that call?

I’m not a guy who has trouble talking, but I couldn’t talk. Tears are running down the sides of my cheeks and I just said, “Bro, I love you man.”

No problem. I love wrestling and wrestling is my life. I’ll be a wrestler til the day I die and I would love to go back up. Even if it was for six months. It is a childhood dream.”

Getting the call to appear on Raw and who called him:

“It was John Kellen and he said we want to bring you in and use you on Monday night. He asked if I was avaialbe and I said hell yeah, for WWE I don’t care where I am, I am available.

That is the truth and I’ve always been like that since I started up there. He said they were going to fly me into Vegas and he’ll see me at the building. I didn’t know what I was doing, where I was doing it but I kind of put two and two together.”

8. “John Cena will go down as the Greatest of all time” – Kurt Angle

During a recent interview with Forbes, WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2017 inductee Kurt Angle talked about John Cena being the #1 guy in WWE for more than a decade, who he wants to see induct him into the WWE Hall of Fame & more. Below are the highlights:

On John Cena being the #1 guy in WWE for more than a decade:

“He has been the staple of sports entertainment for the last 11 years. The incredible thing about John, John has never been known, personally for all of us, as a fighter. He’s not a guy who’s going to to throw fists and mix it up. But what he has been able to endure for 12, 13 years. Nobody has ever done that.

John Cena is the man. I don’t know anybody else who has gone 13 years on top…I’m not going to say he’s the greatest athlete in WWE history, but he will go down as the greatest of all time in WWE history.”

On who he wants to see induct him into the WWE Hall of Fame:

“I would say Steve Austin, Cena, Undertaker and Brock Lesnar are my four picks.”
