4. John Cena Possibly Taking Time Off Till SummerSlam 2017
16 Time WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena will be taking time off from WWE again after WrestleMania 33 on April 2. Cena will be filming “The Pact” movie, which is scheduled to be released on April 20, 2018.
After losing the WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber 2017, Cena got his Title rematch on SmackDown Live and failed to recapture the Title.
Plans are for him to be a part of a mixed tag team match at WrestleMania 33, where he’s scheduled to team up with Nikki Bella to face the team of The Miz & Maryse.
Apart from “The Pact” movie, Cena has a lot of other projects planned and that’s why he’s expected to take a lot of time off after WrestleMania 33. He won’t be working the SmackDown Live exclusive PPV Money in the Bank 2017 either.
Word is that Cena is expected to stay off WWE programming till SummerSlam 2017.
