1. How Will The Next Challenger For The WWE Universal Championship Be Determined?

As we noted earlier, “The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman was planned to face “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship at the new Raw exclusive PPV, Great Balls of Fire 2017.

However, that match will likely get postponed now due to Strowman being out of action with an elbow injury. This means WWE will have to find a replacement for Lesnar’s opponent for his first Universal Title defense.

There have been talks backstage in WWE that there will be a #1 contender’s tournament held on Raw to determine Lesnar’s opponent for the Great Balls of Fire PPV. No word yet on how many men will be involved in this tournament, but below is a list of possible names that might compete:

– Seth Rollins

– Finn Balor

– Dean Ambrose

– Bray Wyatt

– Samoa Joe

– The Miz

Roman Reigns isn’t expected to be added to this tournament due to his Intercontinental Title plans and WWE officials wanting to keep him & Lesnar away for as long as they can as the current plan is for Lesnar vs. Reigns to main event WrestleMania 34 next year.
