8. Triple H Reveals If Tommaso Ciampa Will Work The NXT TakeOver: Chicago Event Or Not

As we noted before, former NXT Tag Team Champion Tommaso Ciampa (member of the #DIY) got injured at last night’s NXT Live Event in Highland, Heights, KY. The injury occurred when Ciampa jumped off the ring apron to land on SAnitY and ended up injuring his left leg in the process.

However, the good news is that his NXT Tag Team Title Ladder match this Saturday at NXT TakeOver: Chicago won’t be in jeopardy as Triple H noted during a media call that Ciampa is fine:

“He turned his ankle somewhere during the match. As a precaution everything shut down, it stopped, he got out of there. He went for an X-ray last night, and there’s no break or fracture. He’s got an ankle sprain. When I texted with him this morning, he was feeling better and was up moving around and felt like he was not going to have an issue with it. It was not really bothering him, it was not really as bad as they thought it was.”

Triple H was asked if there’s a back-up plan in case Ciampa’s condition worsens and he replied that current word is that he’ll make it. If there’s a chance that he can’t make it, then he would figure something out:

“Right now I’m going to keep a positive frame of mind that he will be there.”
