The Undertaker’s 5 Most Underrated Matches

Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Kurt Angle

1. Undertaker vs Batista (Steel Cage Match) – SmackDown (2007)

Yes, we all know that the Undertaker and Batista put on an incredible trilogy of matches in the first half of 2007. The flawless World Championship match at WrestleMania 23 was then followed by the brutal Last Man Standing match at Backlash. However, the closing chapter of this trilogy is often overlooked.

Sure, we know that it was when Mark Henry attacked the Undertaker after the match and Edge cashed in Money in the Bank. But it seems that some people actually forget how great the Steel Cage match was. With another violent and bloody war, it was easy to see why SmackDown had the edge over Raw back in these days. Between vicious cage shots to thunderous Last Rides, this match live up to the hype in every way possible. It was capped off by a compelling ending which saw a bloody Undertaker climb out of the cage at the same time as Batista, rendering the match a draw.

The Undertaker emerged from this amazing war still as the World Champion. A PPV quality match main-evented SmackDown that night.
