As we all know, The Hardy Boyz returned to a huge pop at the “Ultimate Thrill Ride” WrestleMania 33 and then went on to win the Raw Tag Team Titles in a Ladder match.
This was the first time that the Tag Team Titles changed hands at a WrestleMania event since WrestleMania 17 in 2001.
For those wondering if the WWE employees knew about it or not, they weren’t informed of this huge surprise. The WWE Superstars watching the show backstage were surprised, just like the fans, and even the commentators weren’t informed about the Hardy Boyz being added to the Raw Tag Team Title Ladder match.
Raw commentator Corey Graves answered a fan’s question on Twitter and confirmed that he came to know about the return of the Hardy Boyz when the fans came to know – that is when they returned before the Ladder match.
