This was the first card held in the expansion to the north by Georgia Championship Wrestling. The decision to move north was made
when the letter writing campaign that had led to Wrestling #2 becoming the Champion of Champions a few months earlier showed that a
majority of the correspondence was coming from Ohio and surrounding states. GCW would go on to make towns in Ohio, Michigan, and
West Virginia regular stops, which at first were initially handled directly by the Atlanta office. Ed Farhat gave his blessings to GCW moving
into his territory based out of Detroit, MI, and also became involved in some of the promotion in the early stages. His own territory would
cease operations in December 1980.
