• King Of The Ring Winner Died 9 Years Ago Today At The Age Of 43

On this day in 2014, we lost Old School WWF Veteran Mabel aka Viscera aka Big Daddy V (Real name: Nelson Frazier Jr.) at the age of 43 due to a heart attack.

The 530 lbs Super-Heavyweight wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation from 1993 to 1996 and then again from 1999 to 2000, before his last run in the now renamed WWE that lasted from 2004 till 2008.

As ‘Men on a Mission’ member Mabel, he managed to become the 1995 King of the Ring, and later joined The Undertaker’s Ministry of Darkness as Viscera.

On this day in 1989, we lost Old School Wrestling Legend Mildred Burke (Real name: Mildred Bliss) at the age of 73 due to a stroke.

Mildred, who wrestled during the 30s, 40s & 50s, is widely considered one of the greatest female professional wrestlers in the history of this sport.

Burke used to be the NWA World Women’s Champion for almost 20 years.

In 2016, she was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of their annual Legacy wing inductees.
