We have listed the greatest “Jobbers” (Enhancement Talents) of all time.

We did however NOT include Jobbers who became Superstars, like Mick Foley, Justin Credible or the Hardy Boyz, … nor did we include Wrestlers who had been Superstars for most of their career but later became Jobbers, like Tony Garea, Jim Brunzell, Pat Tanaka, Salvatore Bellomo, Pez Whatley, Tiger Chung Lee or Moondog Spot.

Please keep in mind that we left those out of the list.

The list does feature Jobbers from WWF & NWA/WCW TV:

20. Brian Costello

Brian Costello

Brian Costello (born October 21, 1963) is best known for his run as an enhancement talent in the World Wrestling Federation from 1986 to 1993.

Costello’s most memorable matches were against Andrè The Giant, Randy Savage, Jim Duggan, Ultimate Warrior, Mr. Perfect, Jake Roberts, and Razor Ramon.


19. Mike Bell

Mike Bell

“Mad Dog” Mike Bell is best known for his run as an enhancement talent in the World Wrestling Federation from 1993 to 2003 (WWE).

Bell’s most memorable matches were against Lex Luger, The Steiner Brothers, Perry Saturn, Tatanka, Mr. Perfect, The Undertaker, Bret Hart, Razor Ramon, and Owen Hart.

Mike Bell is also featured in the 2008 documentary movie “Bigger, Stronger, Faster”, directed by his brother Christopher Bell.

Bob Starr (born 1971) is best known for his on and off runs as an enhancement talent in World Championship Wrestling from 1992 to 1997, and in the World Wrestling Federation from 1992 to 1998.

Starr’s most memorable matches were against Ricky Steamboat, Randy Savage, Sting, The Outsiders, Diesel & Shawn Michaels, Kamala, and Eddie Guerrero.

Bobby Starr also competed in a 40 Man Battle Royal, that aired on the July 6, 1992 episode of WWF Prime Time Wrestling.


17. Dusty Wolfe / Dale Wolfe

Dale Wolfe

Dusty Wolfe (born July 18, 1962) is best known for his run as an enhancement talent in the World Wrestling Federation from 1987 to 1993, and in World Championship Wrestling from 1995 to 1996.

Wolfe’s most memorable matches were against Jake Roberts, Ultimate Warrior, Mr. Perfect, Sgt. Slaughter, Roddy Piper, Rick Rude, Dino Bravo, Demolition, The Rockers, Ted Dibiase, Meng, and Doink.

 

16. Reno Riggins

Reno Riggins (born January 13, 1967) is best known for his run as an enhancement talent in the World Wrestling Federation from 1988 to 1995.

Riggins’ most memorable matches were against Randy Savage, Lex Luger, Kamala, Owen Hart, British Bulldog, Ted Dibiase, Mr. Perfect, Rick Rude, and Dino Bravo.


15. “Jumping” Joey Maggs

Jumping Joey Maggs

Joey Maggs is best known for his run as an enhancement talent in World Championship Wrestling from 1989 to 1998, and in the World Wrestling Federation from 1992 to 1994.

Maggs’ most memorable matches were against Eddie Guerrero, Shawn Michaels, Lex Luger, Diamond Dallas Page, Meng, The Four Horsemen, Bam Bam Bigelow, Lord Steven Regal, Ric Flair, and Razor Ramon

“Jumping” Joey Maggs also lost matches to Sid Vicious at WCW Clash Of The Champions 14, and “Stunning” Steve Austin at WCW Clash Of The Champions 15.

His biggest claim to fame came, when he wrestled on 2 WCW PPVs, losing to the team of Big Josh & PN News at WCW Halloween Havoc 1991, and competing in the first ever World War III 60 man Battle Royal at WCW World War III 1995.

Frankie Williams is best known for his run as an enhancement talent in the World (Wide) Wrestling Federation from 1975 to 1985.

Williams’ most memorable matches were against Ken Patera, Greg Valentine, Sgt. Slaughter, The Wild Samoans, Ivan Putski, and Don Muraco.

His biggest claim to fame came, when he was a guest on “Rowdy” Roddy Piper’s interview segment ‘Piper’s Pit’.

The Gambler (Real Name: Jeff Gamble) is best known for his run as an enhancement talent in World Championship Wrestling from 1993 to 1999.

He was one of the very few enhancement talents, who actually had a gimmick, as he portrayed a Las Vegas cardsharper.

The Gambler’s most memorable matches were against Sting, The Road Warriors, Arn Anderson, Lex Luger, Brian Pillman, Eddie Guerrero, Jim Duggan, and Lord Steven Regal.


12. Terry Gibbs

Terry Gibbs

Terry Gibbs (Real Name: Manuel Saine) is best known for his run as an enhancement talent in the World Wrestling Federation from 1984 to 1988.

Gibbs’ most memorable matches were against Ricky Steamboat, Ultimate Warrior, Tito Santana, Jim Duggan, Honky Tonk Man, Junkyard Dog, Bret Hart, and Jimmy Snuka.

 

11. Barry O

Barry O

Barry Orton (born May 28, 1958) is best known for his run as an enhancement talent in the World Wrestling Federation from 1985 to 1991.

He’s the brother of WWE Hall of Famer Bob orton Jr. and the uncle of famous WWE Superstar Randy Orton.

Orton’s most memorable matches were against Bret Hart, Kerry Von Erich, Jake Roberts, Jimmy Snuka, Ricky Steamboat, Ted Arcidi, the British Bulldogs, Pedro Morales, and Paul Orndorff.


10. Rusty Brooks

“Rusty Brooks” Kurt Koski (born February 7, 1958) is best known for his run as an enhancement talent in the World Wrestling Federation from 1984 to 1988.

Brooks’ most memorable matches were against Andrè The Giant, Hulk Hogan, Ricky Steamboat, Junkyard Dog, Blackjack Mulligan, Demolition, Jake Roberts, and Billy Jack Haynes.

His biggest claim to fame was challenging Hulk Hogan for the WWF World Championship on October 22, 1985.

 

9. The Mulkey Brothers

The Mulkey Brothers

Bill Mulkey and Randy Mulkey are best known for their run as an enhancement talents in the National Wrestling Alliance during the 1980s and in the World Wrestling Federation in 1990.

The Mulkey’s most memorable matches were against Rhythm And Blues, The Rock n Roll Express, Barry Windham & Ron Garvin, The Samoan Swat Team, and The Orient Express.

At one point they were 0-180 and then managed to get an upset win over a short lived tag team called the Gladiators, portrayed by George South and Gary Royal under masks.


8. Johnny Rodz

Johnny Rodz (born May 16, 1938) is best known for his run as an enhancement talent in the World (Wide) Wrestling Federation from 1965 to 1985.

Rodz’ most memorable matches were against Hulk Hogan, Don Muraco, Pedro Morales, Tony Atlas, Bob Backlund, Ivan Putski, The Wild Samoans, Ken Patera, and Andrè The Giant.

His biggest claim to fame was challenging Bob Backlund and Hulk Hogan for their WWF World Championships in 1980 and 1985.

As one of the most popular JTTS (jobbers to the stars), Johnny Rodz was inducted into the WWF Hall of Fame by Arnold Skaaland in 1996.

SD Jones

“Special Delivery Jones” is best known for his run as an enhancement talent in the World Wrestling Federation from 1974 to 1990.

Jones’ most memorable matches were against Don Muraco, Ted DiBiase, Demolition, Sgt. Slaughter, King Kong Bundy, The Wild Samoans, Greg Valentine, Randy Savage, The Hart Foundation, Hercules Hernandez, and Dino Bravo.

His biggest claim to fame was losing to King Kong Bundy at the very first WrestleMania in just 9 seconds.

Jim Powers (born January 4, 1958) is best known for his run as an enhancement talent in the World Wrestling Federation from 1984 to 1994, and in World Championship Wrestling from 1996 to 1998.

Powers’ most memorable matches were against Mr. Perfect, Bill Goldberg, Big John Studd, The Hart Foundation, Andrè The Giant, Eddie Guerrero, Doink, The Giant, Diamond Dallas Page, Owen Hart, Jerry Lawler, Bam Bam Bigelow, and Rick Rude.

 

5. Duane Gill

Duane Gill

Duane Gill (born July 10, 1959) is best known for his run as an enhancement talent in the World Wrestling Federation from 1990 to 1999.

Gill’s most memorable matches were against Tatanka, The Undertaker, The Legion of Doom, Lex Luger, Christian, Earthquake, Doink, Mr. Perfect, Bob Backlund, Razor Ramon, and participating in the 1999 Royal Rumble match.

Sometimes misspelled “Dwayne Gill” or “Duanne Gill”, his biggest claims to greatness, are winning the relatively dispensable WWF Light Heavyweight Championship and portraying the famous Goldberg parody Gimmick “Gillberg”.

His last WWE appearance came in 2007, when he took part in a 15th Anniversary Battle Royal during the 3 hour RAW Special.

“The Italian Stallion” Gary Sabaugh (born October 24, 1957) is best known for his run as an enhancement talent in the National Wrestling Alliance from 1984 to 1988, in World Championship Wrestling from 1989 to 1993, and for the World Wrestling Federation in 1994.

The Stallion’s most memorable matches were against Paul Orndorff, Rick Rude, The Great Muta, Shawn Michaels, Steve Williams, Tatanka, Mike Rotunda, King Kong Bundy, Larry Zbyszko, Arn Anderson, and Sting.

The Italian Stallion is also famous for bringing the Hardy Boyz into the World Wrestling Federation in early 1994.

 

3. Barry Horowitz

Barry Horowitz (born March 24, 1960) is best known for his run as an enhancement talent in the World Wrestling Federation from 1987 to 1997, and in World Championship Wrestling from 1997 to 2000.

Horowitz’ most memorable matches were against Bret Hart, Billy Graham, The Ultimate Warrior, Goldberg, The Undertaker, Skip, Jake Roberts, Dusty Rhodes, Demolition, Doink, Razor Ramon, The Legion of Doom, and participating in the 1996 Royal Rumble match and the World War III 1998 3 ring Battle Royal.

His biggest claim to fame was defeating Bodydonna Skip on a 1995 episode of WWF Wrestling Challenge, and beating him again on PPV at WWF SummerSlam 1995.

“The Brooklyn Brawler” Steve Lombardi (born April 18, 1961) is best known for his run as an enhancement talent in the World Wrestling Federation from 1983 to 2000.

The Brawler’s most memorable matches were against Razor Ramon, Don Muraco, Triple H, The Iron Sheik, Mr. Perfect, Demolition, Diesel, The Ultimate Warrior, Bret Hart, The British Bulldogs, Kamala, Jake Roberts, Kerry Von Erich, and Jim Duggan.

While portraying “The Brooklyn Brawler” Gimmick for most of his career, Lombardi also had different gimmicks like Kim Chee (1992-1993), The Red Knight (Survivor Series 1993), “MVP” Abe “Knuckleball” Schwartz (1993-1994), and occasionally filled in as Doink the Clown every now and then.

Mike Sharpe (born October 28, 1951) is best known for his run as an enhancement talent in the World Wrestling Federation from 1983 to 1995.

Sharpe’s most memorable matches were against Jim Duggan, Demolition, Bob Backlund, Earthquake, Paul Orndorff, Doink, The Hart Foundation, Andrè The Giant, The Killer Bees, Don Muraco, The Big Boss Man, Tito Santana, Mr. Perfect, The Junkyard Dog, Tatanka, The Legion of Doom, Bret Hart, The Steiner Brothers, Davey Boy Smith, Tony Atlas, and Owen Hart.

Mike Sharpe had the best reputation of all “Jobbers” and was always respected for his great in ring skills and his ability to shoot (if necessary), aswell as his great way to entertain crowds even without an actual gimmick, and tell a story in the ring, something hardly any enhancement talents were able to do.
