Ultimate Warrior vs. Rick Rude – SummerSlam ’89 von WWFOldSchool

The Tagline of the 1989 SummerSlam event was “FEEL THE HEAT” and oh boy, did the PPV live up to that Tagline! In one of the best and by far most entertaining SummerSlams ever, the greatest WWF names of the Golden Era did themselves the honor of wrestling each other.

The event didn’t have one bad match as all bouts were entertaining and kept the fans on the edge of their seats. While the highlights were the Intercontinental Title match between “Ravishing” Rick Rude & The Ultimate Warrior and of course the Tag Team Main Event featuring “The Human Wrecking Machine” Zeus, there were several other great matches like The Hart Foundation vs. The Brain Busters, Ted Dibiase vs. Jimm Snuka, André The Giant & The Twin Towers vs. Jim Duggan & Demolition, … & more!

The second annual SummerSlam event in history is also considered one of the best!
