Below are some top AEW & TNA news stories of the day.
• Adam Cole, who has been with AEW since 2021, expressed interest in returning to New Japan Pro Wrestling. In an interview with Bleacher Report, he stated that wrestling for NJPW again is a top goal, as he enjoyed his past experiences there, including competing at Wrestle Kingdom.
Cole had started wrestling in Japan more frequently before signing with WWE in 2017, which cut his NJPW run short. Now that he’s in AEW, he hopes to revisit NJPW and continue what he started.
Before WWE, Cole regularly competed in NJPW and even won the ROH World Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 11 against Kyle O’Reilly.
Here’s what Cole said:
“The one for sure that I think I would love to do is I definitely want to go back to New Japan. I got the chance to wrestle there a few times and I got to do a Wrestle Kingdom show, which was amazing. But then right as I started going to Japan more often is when I left (for WWE), so I was not able to continue going to Japan. So now that I’m back in All Elite Wrestling, the idea of being able to go over and wrestle for New Japan again is very high up on my list.”

• Former WWE Women’s Champion Jazz recently returned to the ring for the first time in over three years, competing in a Knockouts No. 1 Contender Battle Royal on the February 6 episode of TNA iMPACT. However, she is also working behind the scenes as an agent.
According to Fightful Select, Jazz has been contributing at recent TNA tapings, including those at Full Sail University.
While Gail Kim mentioned spending time with her, it remains unclear if Jazz will wrestle again in the future.
