1. Update On Who Was Originally Set To Defeat Matt Riddle & Pete Dunne For The NXT Tag Team Titles
Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne had a pretty short reign as NXT Tag Team Champions as Dunne got stuck in the UK due to the travel ban because of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Fightful reports that the original plan was for The Indus Shera, managed by Malcolm Bivens, to dethrone Riddle and Dunne as the NXT Tag Team Champions:
“When it became clear that Riddle would need to drop the NXT Tag Team Titles, there wasn’t enough confidence in Indus Shera to be in that spot as of yet, and they were temporarily removed from TV.”
Riddle teamed up with Timothy Thatcher for a while, and lost the Tag Titles to Imperium last month.
