• WWE Wrestlers Met Vince McMahon To Discuss Suspension Of Their Third-Party Activities

WWE’s new policy regarding talent engaging in third party activities has caused the likes of AJ Styles, Mia Yim, Cesaro, Aleister Black, and Zelina Vega to shut down their Twitch/Mixer streams.

Riddle, Big E and Kevin Owens have also closed their Cameo accounts.

PWInsider is reporting that multiple wrestlers met with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon earlier this week to discuss the issue, and to explain him why WWE shouldn’t stop their talents from engaging in third party activities directly. But it’s obvious that the talks weren’t successful.

It was also noted that there has been a fear among wrestlers that if they give access of their Twitch accounts to WWE, then they could lose a significant amount of income from it.

Sources said that since wrestlers are not travelling much, their road expenses are lower right now, and most of the roster has signed new deals that give them a higher downside guarantee.

Word going around is that this is being done by WWE President and Chief Revenue Officer Nick Khan, as he’s trying to position the company as an in-house management firm for their talent, so that all third-party offers need to go through WWE.
