AEW Dynamite Results – WWF Legend Loses, MJF’s Return Match Announced

Below are the complete results from tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

– AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland kicked off the show and said he witnessed Will Ospreay defeat Kenny Omega at last year’s Forbidden Door PPV, but will face him this year and said that Ospreay will not win. Swerve said that he got the nickname Killshot because if you don’t pull the trigger on him, he will.
The Elite interrupted. They announce they will be competing in this year’s 5 on 5 Blood & Guts Match, and asked Swerve to join them. Swerve declined. The Elite were about to attack Swerve, but The Acclaimed made the save.

– Jack Perry def. WWF Legend Dustin Rhodes to qualify for the TNT Title Ladder Match at Forbidden Door

– Rush def. Deonn Rusman

After the match, Rush continues to attack Rusman. MJF made the save and they brawled into the crowd, all the way to the backstage area. MJF’s return match will be against Rush on next week’s Dynamite. This match will kick off the show and will be commercial free.

– Roderick Strong, Konosuke Takeshita & ROH TV Champion Kyle Fletcher def. Orange Cassidy, Kyle O Reilly & ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe

– NJPW star Shingo Takagi announced that he will be entering the Owen Hart Cup tournament.

– Samoa Joe & Hook def. The Premier Athletes

– Mercedes Mone (c) def. Zeuxis to retain the TBS Women’s Championship

– The Learning Tree held TV Time with special guests Private Party. Chris Jericho said Private Party haven’t won any matches lately because their basics are not up to snuff. Jericho said he was trained by the legendary Stu Hart 33 years ago in the famous Hart Dungeon, and thinks Private Party need to work on their craft. They ask Jericho to show them some moves. Jericho climbed the turnbuckle and demonstrates how to properly climb it. Private Party attacked Jericho.

– Daniel Garcia def. Nick Comoroto

– Pac declared he will be entering the Owen Hart Cup tournament.

– The Bang Bang Gang called out The House of Black and challenged them to a match for the 1 Year Anniversary of Collision.

– Will Ospreay (c) def. Rey Fenix to retain the AEW International Championship

AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland got in Ospreay’s face after the match and told Ospreay that he can’t hold both Titles and is not strong enough to hold the world on his shoulders. Ospreay snatched the World Title away from Swerve and put it on his shoulder. Swerve took the title back and said Ospreay is lucky they are friends, because if it was anyone else, he would’ve put them in a grave.
