Nyla Rose, a former AEW Women’s World Champion, is set to make her long-awaited return to televised Dynamite action after a 9-month hiatus.
Rose, who has been keeping active with dark matches on Dynamite and an appearance on AEW Rampage in October 2023, last competed on Wednesday night TV during the AEW Women’s World Title Grand Slam Four Way Eliminator match on September 13, 2023. In that match, Toni Storm claimed victory over Rose, Dr. Britt Baker DMD, and Hikaru Shida.
Rose’s return is slated for tonight’s episode of Dynamite, where she will compete in a quarterfinal match of the Women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament. Tony Khan has announced that Rose will face off against Kris Statlander in what is anticipated to be a significant and highly competitive matchup.
Although absent from Dynamite for some time, Rose has not been idle. She has been competing in Ring of Honor, where she has maintained a strong presence in the ring. In 2024 alone, she has participated in 9 matches, suffering only one loss in a Best Two Out Of Three Falls Tables match against Athena for the ROH Women’s Championship in February.
