Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving Cassie Lee, Logan Paul and The Undertaker.

• Congratulations are in order for wrestling stars Shawn Spears and Cassie Lee, who recently announced the birth of their second child. Cassie Lee shared the joyful news on social media, revealing that their baby, Harley Dean, was born on Friday, June 21st, with the heartfelt message:

“Harley Dean, you complete us

6.21.24″

Harley Dean joins his older sibling, Austin Jay, who was born in January 2023.

Cassie Lee is fondly remembered by wrestling fans for her tenure in WWE as Peyton Royce, one-half of the dynamic tag team The IIconics. After leaving WWE in 2021, Lee continued her wrestling career with Impact Wrestling (TNA) and the Australian promotion World Series Wrestling, with her last match taking place in October 2023.

Shawn Spears, Lee’s husband, has also had an eventful wrestling career. After leaving WWE in 2019, where he competed as Tye Dillinger, Spears joined AEW and debuted in the Casino Battle Royal at Double or Nothing 2019. His final match in AEW occurred during the All Out 2023 pre-show in another battle royal. Spears later announced on social media that he would not renew his AEW contract.

In a surprising move, Spears recently made a return to WWE, appearing in NXT under his AEW name. Before this return, he faced YouTube star Chris Danger in DPW. Spears stepped in as a last-minute replacement for Adam Cole, who was injured at AEW Grand Slam, highlighting his versatility and dedication to the sport.

• Logan Paul has achieved a significant milestone in his tenure as the United States Champion.

Paul captured the title by defeating Rey Mysterio on November 4, 2023, at the Crown Jewel premium live event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Since then, the social media star has successfully defended his championship twice: first, retaining it over Kevin Owens via disqualification at the Royal Rumble in January, and later overcoming both Owens and Randy Orton in a triple threat match at WrestleMania 40.

In 2024, Paul has competed in five matches, with his latest bout being a challenge for Cody Rhodes’ Undisputed WWE Championship at the WWE King & Queen of the Ring PLE, where he came up short. Currently, Paul is embroiled in a feud with LA Knight.

Paul’s reign has now reached a notable milestone of 228 days, positioning him as the second longest-reigning United States Champion of the past decade. This places him just behind Austin Theory, who held the title for 258 days.

The longest US Champion under the WWE banner is Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley in AEW), who held the title for 351 days. If you consider NWA/WCW history as well, then Lex Luger is the longest US Champion of all time, as he held the title for 523 days.

• Legendary rock band blink-182 recently used The Undertaker’s entrance theme song at one of their concerts.

The Deadman was impressed and tweeted the following about it:

“Say it ain’t so…

Great choice in entrance songs @blink182, have a great tour.”
