Below are some top news stories of the day, involving Edge and NJPW.

• During an interview on Busted Open Radio, AEW star Adam Copeland (Edge) talked about his injury and if he’ll reinvent his character when he returns.

Here’s what the Rated-R Superstar said:

“It never changed my mentality. Part of me goes, ‘Well, you recreate yourself’. But each injury kinds of adds itself to the character that was already portraying, which to be honest, is not that far removed from me at this point. It’s as close as I’ve been to character and citizen (laughs) than it’s ever been.

Sometimes, you can try and swim upstream and make it work and all these things, but with my story, because of the injuries, because of the 9 years retired, because of the first year that was missed, I don’t know how much I change, honestly. I think this was one more instance of grizzled vet fighting back from another one. But then the people let you know, too. I might come back, they might boo me out of the building. I don’t know.

Right now, I’m watching (Chris) Jericho, and man, he’s so much fun to watch. He’s recreated himself again; he’s leaned into what the naysayers have said, and he’s took it and run, and now he’s bringing Bryan Keith and Big Bill with him. He’s the perfect person to bring those two guys along and get them the spotlight, get their character.

Clearly, they can both do character work. Bryan Keith, he might be one of my favorite characters all of a sudden. I love it. Then here’s this 7-foot, 300-pound ripped dude being professor positive. I love it. So there’s something to recreation, I just don’t know if this is the instance for that with me.”

• WWE’s Bloodline faction, known for its continuous evolution, may soon see the inclusion of a new member from the NJPW roster. The latest development follows today’s NJPW Dominion event and could signify a significant shift within the wrestling world.

Recently, The Bloodline has undergone notable changes with Solo Sikoa rising to the position of ‘Head of the Table,’ leading to the WWE debuts of the Guerrillas of Destiny, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa. These wrestlers, sons of legendary wrestler Haku, are making waves in the WWE landscape. Another of Haku’s sons, NJPW star Hikuleo, is also generating buzz.

Hikuleo’s NJPW contract, reportedly extending until June, has been a topic of interest. During today’s NJPW Dominion event, Hikuleo and his partner El Phantasmo were the first team eliminated by TMDK in the IWGP World Tag Team and NJPW STRONG Tag Team Titles winners-take-all match. Post-match, Hikuleo’s emotional embrace with El Phantasmo and Jado, followed by his departure from the press conference, has fueled speculation about his future.

Reports have circulated since January that WWE has shown interest in Hikuleo, despite an unofficial hiring freeze at the time. This recent development at Dominion could indicate that Hikuleo’s tenure with NJPW is concluding, paving the way for his potential move to WWE.

If Hikuleo does join WWE and The Bloodline faction, it would further bolster the group’s strength and add a new dynamic to the storyline. As fans await official confirmation, the anticipation continues to build around this intriguing possibility.
