On this day in Pro Wrestling history on May 17, 1992, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling aired ‘WCW WrestleWar 1992’ LIVE on PPV from the Jacksonville Memorial Coliseum in Jacksonville, Florida.

This pay-per-view featured one of WCW’s very own creations, the famous ‘WarGames’ match, as the main event’s stipulation.
