2 Released WWE Wrestlers Are Booked For This Saturday’s AEW Collision

Below are some top AEW & WWE news stories of the day.

• According to Fightful Select, Mace & Mansoor (Maximum Male Models) are booked for this Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision:

“Maximum Male Models are booked for this weekend’s AEW Collision show in Youngstown, Ohio. We’re not sure what their creative plans are, or if they’re going there to speak with AEW. However, as of this week, they were planned to be at the show.”

Mace & Mansoor got released from WWE last year.

• 2nd Episode of “Who Killed WCW?” drew 117,000 viewers, down from 138,000 viewers for the 1st episode.

• This week’s episode of NXT, which featured an appearance by WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, drew 718,000 viewers with a 0.22 rating in the 18-49 demo, which is down from last week’s 768,000 viewers with a 0.22 rating.

• On this week’s RAW, Bron Breakker violently threw Ricochet into a WWE production truck and smashed him through a car windshield. He was then taken to a hospital.

WWE has now provided the following update on Ricochet:

“BREAKING: After suffering a brutal attack at the hands of Bron Breakker this past Monday on RAW, Ricochet will be out of action for an undisclosed amount of time with upper body injuries.”

As we noted earlier, PWInsider reports that there’s a possibility Ricochet might return for one final appearance. With his contract set to expire in July, and given the significant attention his departure has garnered, WWE is considering capitalizing on the situation.

There was talk backstage on Monday about a creative pitch to bring him back for another show.
