Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving Dijak and NXT.

• Dijak is no longer with WWE and is officially a free agent.

Corey Brennan of Fightful reported that sources within WWE praised Dijak and noted he was well-liked by company officials. Shawn Michaels, the head of NXT creative, is a significant supporter of Dijak, despite having minor creative disagreements in the past. Michaels even personally called Dijak to welcome him back to NXT, with Dijak traveling from New Hampshire to train.

There are no clear answers as to why Dijak was never utilized on the main roster, although many within the company were surprised by his absence from regular TV appearances. Dijak sensed something was wrong when he wasn’t included in WWE’s RAW plans shortly after his promotion to the main roster.

Dijak was often left out of RAW events for weeks, with his appearances being shifted to Main Event and Speed tapings without any concrete plans for his inclusion on RAW. There were no creative plans for him even when he was called up.

Sources revealed that initial negotiations with Dijak were positive, but talks eventually died down, leading to WWE telling him that they won’t renew his contract. Many within WWE expressed shock at the lack of negotiation attempts with Dijak.

One former WWE talent remarked that 20 years ago, Dijak “would have had a job till his legs fell off”. Dijak reportedly has significant interest both within and outside of pro wrestling.
