Bret Hart has long harbored deep resentment towards Goldberg for the career-ending kick he received at WCW Starrcade 1999, a kick that left Hart with post-concussion syndrome and ultimately forced him to retire from professional wrestling prematurely.

This bitterness has been a recurring theme in Hart’s reflections on his career, particularly in his harsh assessments of Goldberg’s wrestling abilities, which he once rated as “0/10”.

Hart’s grievances have been highlighted in various discussions and documentaries, including the VICE docuseries “Who Killed WCW?”, where he expressed frustration with World Championship Wrestling and specifically how his career ended.

Recently, Eric Bischoff, former executive producer of WCW, addressed Hart’s longstanding grudge on his “83 Weeks” podcast, describing Hart as a “miserable human being” who has failed to move past his grievances.

“He is a miserable human being and he hasn’t been able to move on. He’s like a giant rain cloud that just mopes around and will b*tch and whine and moan and blame anybody he can blame to who is ever willing to listen,” Bischoff remarked.

Bischoff suggested that while Hart might find joy in other aspects of his life, the world of wrestling remains a source of significant discontent for him. Despite Hart’s remarkable achievements and the wealth and success he has garnered, Bischoff believes there is no justification for Hart’s enduring bitterness.

“He’s done things that very few people in the world will get an opportunity to even imagine, more or less actually do. He’s made a fortune. There’s no reason for this guy to be as dark and miserable as he is,” Bischoff added.

The ongoing tension between Hart and Goldberg, compounded by Bischoff’s recent comments, underscores the complex and often tumultuous relationships within the world of professional wrestling.

While Hart’s legacy as a wrestling icon remains undisputed, his unresolved grievances continue to cast a shadow over his storied career.
