Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving Kayla Braxton and Bret Hart.

• Kayla Braxton, a familiar face in WWE for nearly 8 years, has left the company following the June 28th edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

In her farewell announcement, Braxton expressed her deep gratitude for her time at WWE. Reflecting on her tenure as a backstage interviewer and host across various WWE programs, she acknowledged the support and mentorship of colleagues like Paul Heyman and Michael Cole, who played significant roles in her career development.

Amidst rumors of a potential move to AEW, Braxton addressed the speculations, clarifying that her departure from WWE was not motivated by a desire to continue working in the wrestling industry. Instead, she emphasized that her decision was driven by personal reasons and a desire to explore new opportunities outside of wrestling.

The Wrestling Observer reported that WWE was in talks with Braxton about a contract renewal. However, Braxton ultimately decided not to sign a new deal. The report stated, “WWE & Kayla Braxton were in talks for a renewal but then she made the call not to sign a new deal”.

• Ronda Rousey departed from WWE following her match against Shayna Baszler at SummerSlam last year. Since her exit, Rousey has been vocal about her dissatisfaction with the company, making several negative remarks.

In her book “Our Fight,” Rousey offers an unfiltered account of her time with WWE, using strong language to express her frustrations with executives Bruce Prichard and John Laurinaitis, telling them to go ‘f**k themselves.’ Rousey also claims that WWE discriminated against women during her tenure.

Bret Hart, another controversial figure in wrestling, is known for his candid opinions. While Hart has often been perceived as bitter due to his blunt views on the industry, he maintains that he is simply expressing his opinions and understands that not everyone will agree with him. Despite his attempts at clarification, many still view Hart as a resentful figure.

In a recent interview with Z100 New York, AEW’s TBS Women’s Champion Mercedes Mone (Sasha Banks in WWE) was asked who she believes is more bitter between Ronda Rousey and Bret Hart. Without hesitation, Mone named Rousey as the more embittered individual.

“I think Ronda,” Mone stated, underscoring her belief that Rousey’s bitterness surpasses that of the legendary Hitman.
