• AEW President Tony Khan continues to bolster his promotion with new hires, the latest being former WCW wrestler Ray Lloyd, known as Glacier. Glacier has been quietly working with AEW for several months and recently appeared on an episode of Dynamite, breaking up a fight, which sparked curiosity about his role in the company.
According to Fightful Select, Glacier has been officially hired by AEW as a Producer and Coach. Despite taking on this new backstage role, Glacier has not retired from in-ring action.
He recently competed at QT Marshall’s TCW show in February and participated in several matches in 2022. Glacier also took part in the first Casino Battle Royale in AEW back in 2019.
This hire comes at a time when AEW has experienced some turnover in its backstage personnel. Key figures like Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson have departed, while Jenn Pepperman has joined, primarily focusing on segments involving Mercedes Moné. Meanwhile, Jake Roberts and Jim Ross remain with AEW but have limited roles due to health issues.

• In a heartwarming union that has captivated the wrestling community, WWE star Rhea Ripley and AEW wrestler Buddy Matthews have officially tied the knot. The wedding was a significant moment for the couple and showcased a rare moment of unity in the world of professional wrestling.

Both of them are currently off WWE & AEW programming. Rhea is out of action with a real-life injury, while Buddy was written off TV with an attack angle.
