Brock Lesnar is still in touch with some of the UFC fighters.

Tony Ferguson (age 40) was once a dominant force in the UFC’s lightweight (155 lbs) division. He’s a former Interim UFC Lightweight Champion and is tied with Khabib Nurmagomedov & Islam Makhachev for the longest win streak in UFC Lightweight division history: 12.

He has recently faced a string of setbacks that have left him searching for answers.

With no victories since 2020 and a 7-fight losing streak weighing heavily on him, Ferguson recently shared insights from a conversation with his former TUF coach, Brock Lesnar, on Quinton “Rampage” Jackson’s ‘JAXXON Podcast’.

Ferguson burst onto the UFC scene during the 13th season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’, where he competed under the mentorship of Brock Lesnar. Despite the passage of 14 years since their time together on the show, Ferguson maintains a close relationship with the former UFC Heavyweight Champion.

During his appearance on ‘JAXXON Podcast’, Ferguson disclosed Lesnar’s advice following his recent struggles inside the Octagon:

“Coach (Lesnar) was cool as f**k. I still keep in contact with coach and he said, after one of my fights, ‘You should think about retiring’.”

Despite Lesnar’s advice, Ferguson opted to continue fighting, determined to overcome his challenges.

In addition to concerns about Ferguson’s fighting career, Lesnar also emphasized the importance of financial responsibility. Ferguson recalled Lesnar’s consistent reminder to “save your money, pay your taxes” after every fight, highlighting the practical wisdom imparted by his former coach.

While Ferguson’s recent struggles have led to speculation about his future in the sport, his resilience and determination to persevere are evident.

As he navigates through this challenging phase of his career, Ferguson continues to draw on the support and guidance of those who have been influential in his journey, including his former coach Brock Lesnar.

Speaking of Lesnar, WWE is currently distancing themselves from The Beast due to his involvement in the Vince McMahon lawsuit.

The allegations led to WWE pulling Lesnar from the Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber & WrestleMania 40.
