Below are some top news stories of the day, involving Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman.

• UFC CEO Dana White has said a super fight is in the works for UFC 300, but it doesn’t involve Conor McGregor.

Daniel Cormier has recently been on a media tour doing Joe Rogan Experience and The MMA Hour, where he raised his disappointment of having his retirement fight at the Apex with no crowd in 2020.

With USADA gone and PED rules still unclear for 2024, people are speculating that this would be the perfect opportunity for Brock Lesnar to return to the Octagon and fight DC, especially now that UFC and WWE are owned by the same company.

The seeds for this fight were planted at UFC 226 in 2018, when Cormier called out Lesnar after winning the UFC Heavyweight Championship. They were expected to fight that year for the Title, but Brock decided to stay retired from MMA.

Brock has competed at UFC 100 in 2009 and UFC 200 in 2016, so competing at UFC 300 in 2024 would definitely be a history making moment.

Lesnar was last seen on WWE programming at SummerSlam 2023, where he lost to Cody Rhodes in their trilogy and put him over after the match by raising his hand.

• “Braun Strowman: Waukesha Strong”, a documentary following the former Universal Champion as he assists victims of the November 2021 Waukesha Christmas parade attack, is set to stream on December 15th.

The documentary highlights Strowman’s efforts in supporting the community, including honoring the late Jackson Sparks. Strowman previously wrestled on SmackDown wearing custom boots in collaboration with the Green Bay Packers, with the auction proceeds going to charity.

The documentary will be accessible on Peacock in the United States and on the WWE Network globally.
