Former World Champion Returns On AEW Dynamite As Jeff Jarrett’s Wild Card Opponent

Below are the complete results from tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

– AEW Dynamite: Beach Break kicked off with Renee Paquette interviewing Daniel Garcia. Garcia said that he puts it on his mother’s life that he’s not losing to Will Ospreay tonight. MJF interrupted and offered to be in Garcia’s corner.

– Bryan Danielson def. Pac to advance to the Finals of the Owen Hart Cup Tournament

– ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe said he came close to winning the TNT Title at Forbidden Door, but Jack Perry knocked him off the Ladder and ended up winning. Briscoe declares that he will be representing Team AEW against The Elite in Blood & Guts. The Elite came out and attacked Briscoe and Kyle O’Reilly.

– Mariah May vs. Hikaru Shida in the Women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament is announced for Rampage.

– Willow Nightingale def. Kris Statlander to advance to the Finals of the Women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament

– Britt Baker said for the last 10 months she was out with two herniated discs and a torn labrum. Back in November she suffered a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack), also known as a mini stroke, where one side of her body wasn’t responding. Britt said she spoke to Tony Khan and was told to take care of herself, and when she is good she can come back, which ultimately happened at Forbidden Door. Britt declared she is now good to go and the only three letters that matter in this company are DMD, not CEO. TBS Women’s Champion & NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion Mercedes Mone interrupted and said she is what a real star looks like and won’t allow Britt to steal her spotlight. Britt said she was the first woman in AEW to be All Elite and competed at the first All In event. Britt challenged Mercedes to a match at All In at Wembley Stadium. Mercedes declined and told Britt to go to the back of the line.

– AEW International Champion Will Ospreay met Don Callis backstage and asked Callis to let him leave The Don Callis Family. Callis said he is proud of what Ospreay has accomplished, and will allow him to leave, but in exchange Callis will ask Ospreay for a favor.

– Samoa Joe, Hook & Katsuyori Shibata def. The Cage of Agony

After the match, The Cage of Agony attacked them with Steel Chairs, and targeted Shibata’s arm. FTW Champion Chris Jericho joined in and hit Hook with Brass Knuckles, and Big Bill slammed Hook through a Table.

– “Hangman” Adam Page def. Jeff Jarrett to advance to the semifinals of the Men’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament

This was Hangman’s return to AEW programming.

– Chris Jericho threw a fireball in Hook’s face backstage.

– Young Bucks welcomed Hangman Page back to AEW and asked him to be their 5th man for Blood & Guts. Page said that he is no longer in The Elite, and will not do what they ask. Page declares that he’s going to win the Men’s Owen Hart Cup tournament.

– Will Ospreay (c) def. Daniel Garcia to retain the AEW International Championship

MJF was ringside for this match and gave his Dynamite Diamond Ring to Garcia to use on Ospreay and win. However, Garcia refused and then lost due to being distracted by MJF. MJF turned heel after the match and brutally assaulted Garcia. MJF busted open Garcia and spit on him multiple times. Ospreay then made the save for Garcia. MJF will address his actions by kicking off this Saturday’s Collision.
