• Francis Ngannou Reacts To Jon Jones Winning The UFC Heavyweight Championship

In the main event of tonight’s UFC 285 pay-per-view, Jon Jones returned and submitted Ciryl Gane in the 1st round to win the vacant UFC Heavyweight Championship.

Joe Rogan said Jones has cemented his legacy as the greatest MMA fighter of all time.

In the post-fight interview, Jones said Stipe Miocic is the greatest UFC Heavyweight Champion of all time and he wants him bad. Jones vs. Miocic is next.

Tonight’s fight was originally scheduled to be Francis Ngannou vs. Jon Jones, but Francis couldn’t agree on a new deal with the UFC.

This led to Francis being stripped of the Title and got released from the promotion, thus making the title vacant.

Francis watched tonight’s fight and tweeted the following after Jones’ victory:

“Good job Jonny Boy 👍

Sincerely,
The Heavyweight King”

In his last UFC fight, which took place at UFC 270 on January 22nd 2022, Ngannou defeated Ciryl Gane via Decision (unanimous) to retain the Heavyweight Title.

In comparison, Jones defeated Gane via Submission in just 2 minutes of the very first round.
