Kevin Owens Is Now On A Disappointing List

Kevin Owens Vs Cody Rhodes Royal Rumble 5 WWE WrestleFeed App

Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving Kevin Owens and Tiffany Stratton.

• Kevin Owens has made history in WWE — but not the kind he wanted. His loss to Cody Rhodes at Royal Rumble 2025 in a Ladder Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship officially places him in one of the company’s most frustrating records.

Owens has now joined an unfortunate club — he is one of only three wrestlers in history to challenge for the WWE Championship at least 10 times without ever winning it. The other two names on this list are Don Muraco and Dolph Ziggler.

Owens, a former Universal Champion, has come close before, with recent opportunities at Bash in Berlin and Saturday Night’s Main Event in 2024, but each time, the title has slipped through his fingers.

• On a recent episode of SmackDown, WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton cut a promo and said: “put some respect on my name”. This is something for NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose used to say, and Mandy wasn’t happy about it.

Here’s what Mandy said on her Power Alphas podcast:

“Another little story that just happened. Friday Night SmackDown, someone, a new champion named Tiffany Stratton, used my slogan, ‘Put some respect on my name.’

To be honest, I wasn’t even watching it. I got so many tweets about it, and I was like, ‘What is going on?’ and I saw the clip, and this b*tch even used the same kind of tone; I was like, ‘Hold on a second, I thought we were cool.’ I put her over here. Listen, we can admire each other, we can respect, we can look up to, but we can’t take our words from each other.

It was kind of funny because she used it at the end of her promo. You know people actually put the the two videos side by side, and it was kind of weird because it was a video when I said it, and then when she said it and it was almost the same, and obviously we’ve gotten the whole comparison thing Tiffany and I, you know, our looks and other things I guess.

Well, a lot of people are talking, and you know, they’re mentioning like they almost think her saying that was, you know, a little wink. A mother coming, I’m mother… they’re calling me mother on Twitter.

So congratulations to Tiffy, but don’t use my words, honey. We make that very clear, but that’s okay. I commend you, and I think you’re doing amazing, so I’ll put you over, but again, don’t use my words.”

You can watch Mandy and Tiffany say this line below:

During an interview on the Ring The Bell podcast, Tiffany had the following to say about Mandy’s comments:

“Honestly, I think it’s a little sad that she felt the need to go on her podcast and say something like that. I wish her the best, honestly.”

Mandy Rose was released from WWE in December 2022, due to her adult content videos.
