• Name Of R-Truth & Damian Priest’s Tag Team Revealed
R-Truth and Damian Priest share a history dating back to Priest’s time in The Judgment Day, when Truth famously “believed” he was part of the faction.
A few years later, the two are now aligned and recently captured the WWE Tag Team Championship, winning the titles from The MFTs (Tama Tonga & JC Mateo) last month.
Now, their team appears to have an official name. WWE Shop recently released new merchandise for the duo, revealing the name “Wepa Up.” The name is a mix of Priest’s “Wepa” catchphrase and Truth’s iconic “What’s Up?”
Below is the merchandise description:
“What’s up?! The unlikely pairing of R-Truth and Damian Priest has shaken up the tag team division, and now you can celebrate their Championship reign with this R-Truth & Damian Priest WWE Tag Team Champions Wepa Up! T-Shirt.
This tee showcases stylized Superstar graphics printed across the chest, signifying the duo’s unique chemistry and Damian Priest’s spin on R-Truth’s signature catchphrase. Made from comfy 100% cotton with a classic crew neck, this tee is the perfect way to show your support for the most entertaining and unpredictable tag team in WWE. Wepa!”
Wepa Up picked up a win over The Miz and Kit Wilson in their first title defense on last week’s SmackDown after Danhausen cursed the referee.
• WWE Discussing 4 Major NXT Stars For Main Roster Call-Up After WrestleMania 42
WrestleMania 42 is just a week away, and a new chapter will begin in WWE after the Show of Shows. Like every year, several NXT stars are expected to be moved up to the main roster following the biggest event on the calendar.
The Wrestling Observer reports that there has been significant internal talk in NXT about potential post-WrestleMania call-ups, with Ricky Saints, Blake Monroe, Ethan Page and Jacy Jayne all under strong consideration.
Sol Ruca, who is scheduled to face Zaria in a Last Woman Standing match in less than two weeks, also impressed WWE officials following her encounter with Bayley at the final Saturday Night’s Main Event of 2025.
Ethan Page is set to face Tony D’Angelo for the NXT Championship at NXT Revenge next week, which could end up being his final match in NXT. Jacy Jayne is also set for a title rematch against NXT Women’s Champion Lola Vice, and could be nearing the end of her run on the brand, having already accomplished plenty as a two-time champion.
Ricky Saints has already captured the NXT Championship in the past, leaving him with little to achieve on the developmental brand, while Blake Monroe is also expected to get a Women’s North American Championship opportunity against Tatum Paxley after pinning her on the latest episode of NXT.
