• “Never Say Never” – New UFC Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones Still Wants To Fight Brock Lesnar

In the main event of the UFC 285 pay-per-view, Jon Jones returned and submitted Ciryl Gane in the 1st round to win the vacant UFC Heavyweight Championship.

Joe Rogan said Jones has cemented his legacy as the greatest MMA fighter of all time.

In the post-fight interview, Jones said Stipe Miocic is the greatest UFC Heavyweight Champion of all time and he wants him bad. Jones vs. Miocic is next.

Prior to this fight, Jones said he’d still like to face Brock Lesnar, who he called out at UFC 214 back in 2017.

Below is what Jones said during an interview with Sporting News Fights:

“I think fighting Brock Lesnar would have been really cool. You know, Brock isn’t the most technical fighter, but he has a massive fanbase, he’s a lot bigger than me, and it would have been one of those cool David and Goliath situations.

It would have been cool for cross-sport promoting and I think we both would have done great things for our families and for our team.

You know, financially, that would have been massive. Never say never. Brock, if you’re out there…”

Lesnar’s last MMA fight took place in 2016 at UFC 200, where he defeated Mark Hunt. The result was turned to a No Contest after Lesnar failed the drug tests for this fight (the results came out after the fight).
