• WWE and UFC (both owned by TKO Group Holdings) are joining forces in a newly announced 5-year partnership for live events at the OCVIBE Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

UFC and WWE Among Marquee Events at OCVIBE Honda Center to Host UFC 298: VOLKANOVSKI vs TOPURIA Sat., Feb. 17 Followed by WWE Monday Night Raw on Feb. 19
“ANAHEIM, Calif. and NEW YORK, NY, Feb. 15, 2024 – OCVIBE, a one-of-a-kind, immersive sports and entertainment district centered around Honda Center in Anaheim, California, today announced a first-of-its-kind 5-year live event partnership with UFC and WWE, two of the world’s most iconic sports and entertainment brands.
Starting this year, UFC and WWE will bring at least three events each to Honda Center through 2028. Fans coming to Anaheim over the next five years will see a variety of events ranging from UFC’s must-watch championship Pay Per Views and compelling Fight Nights, to WWE’s spectacular arena shows, including electrifying live TV programs such as RAW and SmackDown.”
• Shortly after the highly successful Hard to Kill PPV weekend in Las Vegas, Scott D’Amore was ousted as TNA President by parent company Anthem Sports and Entertainment.
Anthem owner Len Asper directly made the decision. Anthem Sports and Entertainment will now take a more hands-on approach in managing TNA, integrating it into their entertainment division to enhance synergy and maximize potential collaboration.
TNA wrestlers aren’t happy about this move, as they had a strong connection with Scott. They sent a letter to Anthem to express their frustration with Scott being pushed out of the company.
Former Intercontinental Champion Zack Ryder aka Matt Cardona then showed support for Scott by tweeting the following:
“Scott D’Amore gave me an opportunity during the pandemic when WWE fired me and AEW didn’t want me.
Being in Impact gave me my confidence back and I was able to go on and become the Deathmatch King and Indy God and more successful than I’ve ever been.
