On this day in Pro Wrestling history on May 16, 1998, Extreme Championship Wrestling hosted ‘ECW A Matter of Respect 1998’ at the ECW Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

This show was later released as an official DVD.

It was the second and final “ECW A Matter of Respect” event, after the first one took place in 1996.

• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (May 16, 2002) – Old School ECW Veteran Passed Away

On this day in 2002, we lost Old School ECW Wrestler Big Dick Dudley (Real name: Alex Rizzo) at the young age of 34 due to kidney failure.

Big Dick Dudley was a founding member of The Dudley Boyz faction (before it became just a Tag Team of Bubba Ray & Devon) and wrestled for Paul E. Dangerously’s Extreme Championship Wrestling promotion from 1994 till 1999.

Later on he joined Xtreme Pro Wrestling and became their World Heavyweight Champion.

In real life Rizzo was married to ECW Valet Elektra.
