According to Fightful Select, WWE is releasing wrestlers to make room for NXT wrestlers that are scheduled to be called up to RAW and SmackDown later this year.
Historically, the company has made roster cuts ahead of major talent influxes, and with this being a crucial period in WWE’s calendar, another round of roster adjustments seems to be part of that process.
Below are the names that have been released so far:
– Isla Dawn
– Giovanni Vinci
– Luke Gallows
– Karl Anderson
– Sonya Deville (not released, but was told that her contract won’t be renewed when it expires in a few weeks)
– Authors of Pain (Akam & Rezar)
– Paul Ellering
– Cedric Alexander
– Blair Davenport
