On Six Feet Under with Mark Calaway, Charlotte Flair sat down for a wide-ranging conversation with The Undertaker and Michelle McCool, where topics swung from tattoos to personal struggles, and one surprising rejection from The Deadman himself. Michelle revealed she once urged her husband to do something wildly out of character: pose nude for ESPN’s Body Issue. It didn’t go over well. “She tried to talk me into this. You (Charlotte) did the ESPN Body Issue?” Undertaker asked. “I did try to talk him (into it),” McCool confirmed.
Charlotte chimed in with her own experience: “I made sure they had all the cameras covered. I was like, ‘I’m not going in there naked without all those little cameras covered.’” Undertaker responded, “I totally get that. This one [Michelle] was trying to convince me.”
“Years ago. Not now,” McCool clarified. “Definitely (not now),” Undertaker echoed. Charlotte playfully pushed further: “Why not? You and all the tats? You could just have the turnbuckle right there (over your crotch). Is that too much? Is the turnbuckle too much? Taker right there in front of the turnbuckle with the WWE logo. He can flex on one side.”
To that, Undertaker said, “When this airs, people are going to cringe so hard. That’s not my Undertaker. They do not want to see anything under the black.”
“They’re seeing it now. Yes, back then, maybe not. I thought it was a beautiful way…” McCool began, before being interrupted by Undertaker: “She tried hard to convince me.”
“People think I get everything I want,” McCool added. “You turned it down?” Charlotte asked. “Yes, I turned it down,” Undertaker confirmed.
McCool jumped in: “He wouldn’t even do that for me. People think I get everything because of him. The one thing I ask him for, he shot down hard. Come on, man.”
“He’s probably like, ‘My character wouldn’t do it,’” Charlotte guessed. “Exactly!” said Undertaker.
“That’s exactly what he said,” McCool affirmed. “That’s all I have is my character,” Undertaker explained.
McCool added, “He’s like, ‘I’ll walk around the house naked all the time, but I’m not about to be in the magazine.’ He really doesn’t walk around naked all the time.”
“I’m being the creative director,” Charlotte teased.
“Hope is still alive. Guys, can we make this happen? Put a coffin. ‘Undertaker is dead. Mark Calaway has arrived,’” McCool joked.
