Below are a couple of top news stories of the day, featuring WWE and Linda McMahon.

• WWE EVOLVE will have its own championship when it debuts on Tubi in the U.S. on March 5, airing Wednesdays at 8 PM ET. The first tapings took place in early February, with the next set scheduled for February 21 at the WWE Performance Center.

According to PWInsider, the WWE EVOLVE Championship has already been created and will be introduced at the upcoming tapings.

The show will feature WWE developmental talent and independent wrestlers from the WWE ID program, with Gabe Sapolsky leading creative.

Sapolsky, who previously ran EVOLVE as an independent promotion, oversaw this championship once held by stars like Drew McIntyre, Zack Sabre Jr. and Swerve Strickland.

• Sen. Tammy Baldwin expressed concern over education secretary nominee Linda McMahon’s commitment to handling $exual assault claims on campuses, citing a lawsuit alleging WWE leaders failed to act on past abuse allegations.

During McMahon’s confirmation hearing, Baldwin referenced the ‘ring boys’ suit and said: “I am so concerned about whether $exual assault survivors on campus can trust you to support them.”

McMahon responded: “They certainly can trust me to support them. You have my absolute commitment that I will uphold and protect those investigations to make sure that those students are treated fairly on both sides.”

If confirmed, McMahon would oversee a department serving over 50 million students. While President Trump has indicated plans to eliminate the Department of Education, McMahon acknowledged this would require congressional approval but expressed support for overhauling the department.

Baldwin called Title IX a “critical tool” for protecting students and questioned McMahon on enforcement, including whether schools should investigate off-campus assaults. McMahon affirmed: “I don’t believe there should be any acceptance of $exual harassment, Senator.”
