Below are some top WWE news stories of the day.

• During an interview with Chris Van Vliet, Chris Jericho revealed that WWE wanted him to return to the company in 2022 with his “The List” gimmick:

“I never wanted to be a nostalgia act, still don’t. It’s one of the reasons I went to AEW in the first place in 2019, I didn’t want to go back to WWE and do The List. Which I knew they wanted me to do, and this is 3 years later and the List was not a thing for me back then.

You want to continue to push and grow and evolve and stay as relevant as possible and still build the business and build other guys and you can do all those things as long as you understand what the business is all about.”

• WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus made her in-ring return during the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble match, wowing fans with her performance. Behind the scenes, however, she had some key help in getting ready—TNA star Jody Threat played a role in preparing Stratus for her comeback.

Stratus took to X to share a training clip, revealing that Threat, one-half of the current TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions, assisted her in fine-tuning her skills. The two trained together at Santino Marella’s Battle Arts Academy in Mississauga.

Stratus made it clear that she was committed to delivering her best, proving that even after 25 years in the industry, Stratusfaction is still guaranteed for her fans.

Here’s what the 7-time Women’s Champion posted:

“I’m not gonna give 60%, 100% or I’m not gonna do it. Check out @JodyThreat helping me get Rumble ready!! #BTS #RoyalRumble #StayReady #Trish25”
