• WWE’s Giant Danhausen-WrestleMania 42 Plan Not Happening Due To Price Tag

WWE has been trying to land a massive advertising spot on The Sphere for WrestleMania 42 week, but the record-breaking price tag is currently standing in the way.

According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE officials looked into putting a giant promotional video on the famous Las Vegas landmark to celebrate the Show of Shows. However, as of right now, no deal has been signed because it is simply too expensive.

Interestingly, one of the early ideas for the display was pretty unexpected. WWE reportedly considered featuring Danhausen on the giant screen.

The goal was to have his face looming over the city, likely cursing Las Vegas as part of a comedy bit. While the idea sounds hilarious, the extreme cost of renting the Sphere’s exterior has kept this very evil plan on the shelf for now.

Unless a last-minute sponsor steps in to cover the bill, fans might have to settle for regular billboards instead of a giant Danhausen watching over the Vegas Strip.

• The Miz Gets First-Of-Its-Kind Role For WrestleMania 42 Week

The Miz is getting a brand-new job for WrestleMania 42 week: he’s officially becoming a wedding officiant.

In a first-of-its-kind event called “WWEddings,” five lucky couples will get legally married by the former WWE Champion in Las Vegas. This special event is a celebration of WWE’s new partnership with ESPN.

The weddings are happening on April 16 between 3 PM and 5 PM. If you’re looking to tie the knot, here’s the deal:

– Only five couples will be picked on a first-come, first-served basis. You have to sign up at tagteamforlife.com.

– You must bring a valid government ID and a real marriage license from the state of Nevada.

– Couples get a professional wedding certificate and can take photos with actual WWE title belts and life-sized cutouts of their favorite wrestlers.

The Miz mentioned that he’s excited to help fans make their love stories part of the WrestleMania spectacle. Meanwhile, ESPN executives say they wanted to do something unique to celebrate their first year broadcasting the event. They figured there’s no better way to show that sports fandom is forever than by helping fans start their lives together.

Even if you don’t get picked to get married, WWE is still encouraging fans to show up and watch the ceremonies.
