• WWE’s Original Plan For WrestleMania In Saudi Arabia Revealed

WrestleMania 43 heading to Saudi Arabia in 2027 is not just a major first for WWE – it’s also tied to one of the biggest national milestones in the Kingdom’s history.

According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE initially wanted WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia for 2028, but scheduling shifted because of Saudi Arabia’s 300th anniversary in 2027. The country traces its foundation back to 1727, marked each year as “Founding Day” on February 22. To commemorate the tricentennial, Saudi officials pushed for the event to land that year, offering enormous financial backing to make it happen.

The Observer noted that while WWE and TKO executives like Ari Emanuel, Nick Khan, and Dana White are key players, the real driving force is Turki Alalshikh, who has the resources and influence to secure the show on Saudi Arabia’s terms.

The Kingdom views WrestleMania as a centerpiece for its 300th anniversary, much like how the United States is preparing special sports events around its own 250th anniversary in 2026, including a UFC event at the White House on July 4th.

Saudi Arabia is reportedly prepared to spend whatever it takes to make WrestleMania 43 historic. That includes targeting major marquee matches and even coaxing retired stars back into the ring.

The expectation is that the 2027 event will be one of the most ambitious and expensive WrestleManias of all time.

• MJF’s New Movie & Busy Schedule Revealed

MJF has packed more into September than most people do in a year.

The AEW star tied the knot on September 5, but instead of heading off on a honeymoon, he went straight back to work. The very next day he showed up in Philadelphia for AEW Collision. From there, he hopped a flight to Winnipeg to begin filming his new movie “Violent Night 2,” which Deadline confirmed.

Because of his film schedule, MJF didn’t appear live on this week’s Dynamite, but he’ll return to Philadelphia for the September 11 Collision tapings before jetting right back to Winnipeg to continue shooting, according to Fightful Select. After that, he’s off again – this time to Mexico City, where he’s set to main event CMLL’s Anniversary show alongside Mistico.

The whirlwind continues immediately afterward, as MJF heads to Toronto for AEW All Out, where he’s booked to face Mark Briscoe. Once the pay-per-view is over, he’ll make yet another trip back to Winnipeg to resume filming duties.

Violent Night 2 is set to release on December 4, 2026.
