3. Possible stipulation for Orton vs. Sheamus
WWE posted the following on Twitter: “BREAKING NEWS: #MrMITB @WWESheamus will face #TheViper @RandyOrton at #WWEBattleground July 19.”
They posted the following on WWE.com regarding the feud: “Tensions between both Superstars have been high since WWE Money in the Bank when the two crossed paths multiple times during the event’s eponymous Ladder Match — a match that Sheamus ultimately won. Tempers still flared the next night on Raw when The Viper distracted The Celtic Warrior, causing him to lose his match against Dean Ambrose. However, later that same evening, Sheamus viciously returned the favor and attacked The Apex Predator during his match with Kane.
The Irishman’s attack left Orton out of commission until this past week, when he returned to WWE’s flagship show ready to strike. The two former WWE World Heavyweight Champions traded blows until The Viper ultimately caught Sheamus with an RKO out of nowhere that left Mr. Money in the Bank lying.
After weeks of brutal exchanges, both competitors will get the opportunity to test their might against one another at Battleground. Will Sheamus overthrow Orton as he continues to seek out the perfect moment to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase. Or will The Viper, a former Money in the Bank winner himself, put the exclamation point on his return by stopping Sheamus head-on?”
Since the tension between the two started during the Money in the Bank ladder match, why not put the MITB contract on the line in their Battleground match? The match would become much more interesting.
