1. The Rock Returns To Confront Roman Reigns
This month marked 25 years since The Rock’s WWF debut. WWE is celebrating his 25th anniversary tonight.
However, he isn’t scheduled to appear and nobody is expecting him to show up.
This is the perfect recipe for what could be the biggest surprise of the year – The Rock returning to WWE programming after 2 years.
While there were reports that the highly anticipated match between The Rock and Roman Reigns won’t happen at WrestleMania 38, one has to wonder by The Tribal Chief appeared on The Tonight Show this past week.
It would make sense if Reigns made this appearance before a big PPV like SummerSlam or WrestleMania, but he made an appearance before Survivor Series, a PPV that WWE barely had a build up for this year.
Jimmy Fallon also asked Roman about rumors of The Rock appearing at Survivor Series for his 25th anniversary. Was this done on purpose to get some appeal from the mainstream audience, since Dwayne Johnson is the biggest movie star in the world today?
While the chances are obviously low, WWE is known to deliver when fans aren’t expecting much from a show, and having The Rock make a surprise return to confront Roman Reigns is definitely the biggest thing they can book right now.
