On July 7, 1998 in the Main Event of WCW Monday Nitro on TNN, Bill Goldberg won his first ever World Title, when he defeated nWo’s Hollywood Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.
Goldberg won after a spear and his Jack Hammer finishing move.
It was still a clean win, despite Karl Malone & DDP coming out to prevent the nWo Hollywood stable from interfering in the match. Nobody interfered in the actual in ring competition though.
