• Cody Rhodes Responds To A Fan Saying He Didn’t Watch Last Week’s AEW Dynamite Due To His Departure

Cody Rhodes, one of the founding fathers of AEW, is gone from the company.

A fan noted on Twitter that he only watched the beginning of last week’s AEW Dynamite to see if Cody was removed from the intro of the show, which he was, and the fan ended up not watching the rest of Dynamite.

This led to Cody replying the following to this fan:

“I’d encourage you to still watch it – I was very lucky that my hard work led me to be that face, but I wasn’t alone.

Nick/Matt/Kenny/Chicken/Jericho/MJF/Hang were as well, and all the new girls and guys putting in a shift now as well.

Wrestling is thriving.”

Last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite on TBS drew 869,000 viewers, which was 23% down from previous week’s 1.13 million viewers (a huge surprise debut was teased for previous week’s show, which was Keith Lee).

The 18-49 demo rating for last week was 0.31, which is down from previous week’s 0.41.

Last week’s numbers were the lowest since Dynamite’s move to TBS, while the viewership was the lowest since the December 1, 2021 episode.
