• WWE Hall Of Famer Says He Could Pop Up In 4 Promotions

During an interview with SK Wrestling, WWE Hall Of Famer Jeff Jarrett talked about working on the indy scene, having a feud with EFFY in GCW (Game Changer Wrestling) & more.

Jarrett said he can pop up in 4 promotions at any given time: WWE, GCW, AAA & NWA.

Below is what Double J said:

“I think that’s just a fun part of the industry because we’ve definitely transitioned over the last, I’d say, three to five or seven years, into the, I call it, the streaming world.

In the streaming generation, our phones are in our pockets, and you can call it the YouTube generation. The exchange of information and content creation is instantaneous.

I think it’s a healthy way for the industry, for me to be able to pop up in WWE, Game Changer (Wrestling), AAA and NWA. I was on their show earlier. I think it’s healthy for the industry to have that kind of diversity.

It could be the TripleMania and the Monterrey Boxing and Wrestling Commission confiscating my tortillas, and me and Latin Lover continued to carry on out in-ring action backstage.

He’s the one who left in an ambulance, not me, or you talk to EFFY and Game Changer Wrestling. All the different avenues, and you know, the WWE came and did SmackDown in my hometown, and there was an appearance.

The world is just rapidly changing, and you never really know, not just myself, but where people are going to pop up.”

• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (May 14, 2021) – Old School ECW Legend Passed Away

On this day in 2021, we lost legendary Hardcore Wrestler & real life Bounty Hunter “The Original Gangsta” New Jack (Real name: Jerome Young) at the age of 58 due to a heart attack.

New Jack originally made a name for himself in Jim Cornette’s SMW Smoky Mountain Wrestling territory, where he formed ‘The Gangstas’ with his Tag Team partner Mustafa Saed, but soon jumped ship to Paul Heyman’s ECW Extreme Championship Wrestling, where he became a house hold name in Hardcore Wrestling and somewhat of an innovator when it comes to jumping of balconies during pro wrestling matches.

After ECW closed its doors in January 2001, New Jack continued to wrestle on the indies (with a few short stints in TNA in between) until he officially retired a few years ago. He has since came out of retirement quite a few times, to reunite The Gangstas with his old partner Mustafa.

† REST IN PEACE NEW JACK
