• AEW World Champion CM Punk Is Planning To Win Another Title
In the main event of the AEW Double Or Nothing 2022 pay-per-view, CM Punk defeated “Hangman” Adam Page to win the AEW World Championship.
After the PPV went off the air, AAA & ROH Tag Team Champions FTR (fka The Revival in WWE) came to the ring to congratulate Punk and hoisted him up on their shoulders.
AEW has a lot of 3-man teams and they have been thinking about introducing the Trios Championship.
Tony Khan said the following about this decision in March:
“I am much more receptive to doing it when Kenny Omega is back. Because I think that is going to happen. And when Kenny Omega is back, I think the Trios division is that much stronger.”
A fan posted a photo of Punk on FTR’s shoulders from Double Or Nothing and wrote the following:
“New team just dropped for the trios tournament.”
Punk then replied:
“Just give us the straps so we don’t have to hurt your favs.”
