• AEW Personality Confirms CM Punk’s Exit From The Company

During an interview on Renee Paquette’s The Sessions podcast, AEW personality Stokely Hathaway confirmed that CM Punk has left All Elite Wrestling.

Some recent reports stated that Punk was still under contract and rumors began that the All Out fight was a work after The Elite began mocking Punk openly on TV, but Hathaway has confirmed Punk’s exit.

Hathaway is the manager of The Firm faction in AEW and they were scheduled to feud with Punk after the All Out PPV.

Below is what Stokely (fka Malcolm Bivens in WWE NXT) said:

“Everything that was supposed to happen with The Firm did not happen. Back at All Out, what happened immediately after the pay-per-view, that was a huge part of it.

(The person) we were supposed to directly feud with is no longer in the company.

That was one thing I was looking forward to because I was hand-chosen for that role. I’m just going to say it. I don’t know the specifics about people choosing sides.

I just know that CM Punk said, ‘Hey. I want to work with this guy’. That means a lot, regardless of what has happened.”
