New Rule For Money In The Bank Still Intact

In a backstage interview with Cathy Kelley on last night’s post-Night Of Champions edition of RAW, Matt Riddle said he plans on winning the Men’s Money In The Bank 2023 Ladder Match.

Riddle said he can’t wait to cash-in on either Roman Reigns (for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship) or Seth Rollins (for the World Heavyweight Championship) when he wins.

Gunther interrupted him and challenged Riddle to cash-in on him for the Intercontinental Championship if Riddle wins the contract.

This was a confirmation that the Money In The Bank contract can still be cashed-in on a mid-card title, a new rule that was started last year, when Austin Theory cashed-in on Rollins for the United States Title (and failed to win).

On last night’s RAW, the following two Men’s Money In The Bank qualifying matches took place:

– Ricochet def. The Miz

– Shinsuke Nakamura def. Bronson Reed

4 More spots are left to be filled in this match.

WWE has announced the following two qualifying matches for the Women’s Money In The Bank 2023 Ladder Match for next week’s RAW:

– Becky Lynch vs. Sonya Deville

– Natalya vs. Zoey Stark
