Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, featuring Jordynne Grace, Royal Rumble 2025, and Charlotte Flair.

• Jordynne Grace’s surprise appearance in the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble wasn’t just a guest spot — it officially kicked off her WWE career.

According to Fightful Select, Grace will begin her journey on the NXT brand, but her stay there won’t be long.

WWE sources confirm she’s signed a 5-year main roster-level contract, signaling that her time in developmental is expected to be brief before making the jump to RAW or SmackDown.

As part of her deal with the company, Grace will retain the rights to her name and theme song.

• WWE Royal Rumble 2025 has made a major impact on Netflix, securing the 10th spot on the platform’s list of most-watched programs worldwide for the week of January 27. This achievement highlights WWE’s growing global presence through its new international distribution deal.

Netflix reported that the event garnered 2.1 million views and an impressive 9.6 million hours watched across global markets.

It should be noted that Royal Rumble didn’t air on Netflix in the US. The above viewership number is for non-US countries.

Netflix didn’t air Royal Rumble in India either. India is WWE’s biggest market in terms of fanbase, with over 10 million regular viewers on TV every week for RAW & SmackDown, and shows like WrestleMania drawing close to 100 million total views on TV. WWE will be made available on Netflix in India later this year, which will lead to a significant increase in viewership.

• Charlotte Flair returned to in-ring action after over a year and won her second Women’s Royal Rumble match. On RAW, fans booed Charlotte.

The 14-time World Champion had the following to say about negative fan reaction:

“Stay happy, sad, little or BIG mad. I’m back!

Whether you love to hate me, Hate to love me.. I’m still the FIRST.”

On RAW, Charlotte said last year sucked and that last year broke her, both physically and mentally, referring to her injury recovery process and divorce from Andrade. She debated if she should choose to face Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, NXT Women’s Champion Giulia, or WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton at WrestleMania 41.

Rhea came out and said she wants Charlotte to choose her and if she does, she’ll beat some respect out of her.
