Below are some top news stories of the day, involving Ric Flair and Duke Hudson.

• Ric Flair has faced numerous health challenges, but his latest medical discovery took even him by surprise.

During an interview on Gabby AF, the 2-time WWE Hall of Famer revealed that he unknowingly suffered a heart attack within the past two years.

“I went in for a test, and the doctor told me, ‘You’ve had a heart attack in the last two years.’ I didn’t even know,” Flair admitted.

The issue was uncovered through a calcium test on his heart, which showed past damage.

In a previous interviews, Flair revealed that the above stated heart attack actually took place during his last match in 2022.

Given his serious 2017 health scare, which included a medically induced coma and multiple heart surgeries, Flair understands the risks. However, despite the revelation, he insists he still feels great.

“For some reason, I don’t hurt anywhere… I could wrestle again, but I won’t,” he said, making it clear that while he feels capable, he won’t return to the ring.

His health was also a factor in his quiet departure from AEW last summer. While many assumed it was due to his Wooooo! Energy sponsorship ending, Flair explained that AEW was unaware of his medical limitations when he signed.

“Tony (Khan) didn’t realize I was on blood thinners,” he said, which explains why AEW restricted his physical involvement, particularly in Sting’s retirement match at Revolution 2024.

• Duke Hudson, recently released by WWE, revealed in a self-interview that he was originally supposed to betray Chase University by turning heel, instead of Ridge Holland.

In the video, he played two versions of himself—one in a black shirt arguing that they were held back and should have turned on the group, and one in a white shirt defending their time in Chase U and expressing his love for it.

The black shirt Duke believed they were limited by an “invisible ceiling” and that others, like Ridge Holland, benefited from Chase U’s success. The white shirt Duke insisted they were never the chosen ones and weren’t given the same chances to fail and succeed. Their argument escalated, with the black shirt Duke accusing the other of giving up, while the white shirt Duke said speaking out was the problem.

The video ended with tension unresolved, leaving fans wondering how things would have turned out if Hudson had been the one to turn on Chase U instead of Holland at No Mercy.
