AEW Dynamite Results – Former TNA Star Debuts, Christian Cage Wants His Contract Back

– Tonight’s episode of Dynamite kicked off with Kenny Omega celebrating becoming the new AEW International Champion. Omega thanked the fans for their support since he’s made his return to the ring, and thanked Konosuke Takeshita for pushing him harder than he thought possible in their match at Revolution. Omega said he will be watching closely to see who he will be facing at the Dynasty PPV.

– Jon Moxley (c) vs. Cope (Edge) in a Street Fight for the AEW World Championship was announced for next week’s Dynamite.

– The Opps def. Vinny Pacifico, Gabriel Aeros, & El Theseus

After the match, Ricochet appeared on the titantron and said he will give Katsuyori Shibata the option not to meet him in the ring for their match on Collision, and he will accept the win via forfeit. Ricochet said if Shibata shows up, then he will have no choice but to embarrass him.

– Powerhouse Hobbs & Hologram def. Brian Cage & Dralistico

– AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm celebrated her Hollywood Ending win over Mariah May. Toni said it’s time for a new beginning and questioned who will be the next one that challenges her. Megan Bayne attacked Toni from behind.

– Former TNA wrestler “Speedball” Mike Bailey made his AEW debut and was revealed to be the Wild Card in the AEW International Championship Eliminator Tournament.

– “Speedball” Mike Bailey def. The Beast Mortos to advance to next week’s Fatal 4-Way match

– Christian Cage demanded his World Title Match Contract be returned to him due to the referee’s incompetence at Revolution and claimed he didn’t tap out or pass out, as he was just relegating his breathing with his eyes closed. Nick Wayne told Christian to stop lying and that if he followed their plan he would be the AEW World Champion today. Christian shoved Nick and asked Nick who does he think he is to question him and his motives. Christian said that Nick should be thankful that he found him and told him to keep riding his coattails. Mother Wayne stepped in, but Christian told her to step down or else she will go back to working the midnight hour at Waffle House.

– MJF addressed his loss to “Hangman” Adam Page at Revolution, but MVP interrupted. MVP said they have a long history together and offered MJF his business card, and thinks they should talk business. MJF declined the offer, and said he was the AEW World Champion for 406 days and doesn’t need help. MVP said to focus on the WAS part, and offered his business card again, and this time MJF accepted it.

– Konosuke Takeshita def. Max Caster

– Willow Nightingale def. Penelope Ford

After the match, Megan Bayne & Ford attacked Willow & Kris Statlander.

– Will Ospreay called his shot that he wants to challenge for the AEW World Title in the main event of All In: Texas and his path to get there will be by winning the 2025 Owen Hart Cup Tournament.

– “Hangman” Adam Page & MJF ran into each other backstage and made their intentions known that they both are aiming to become AEW World Champion for a second time in their careers.

– Orange Cassidy def. Hechicero to advance to next week’s Fatal 4-Way match

It will be “Speedball” Mike Bailey vs. Orange Cassidy vs. TBD vs. TBD to determine who will face Kenny Omega for the AEW International Title at Dynasty.
