More Allegations Could Come Out Against Brock Lesnar

After several months of silence, Brock Lesnar’s return to WWE finally took place – but the backstage story is far more complex than fans may realize. Brock Lesnar’s surprise reappearance in WWE has reignited speculation about his status – not just as a performer, but in relation to the legal controversies that have quietly shadowed him for over a year. While his return has many assuming he was “cleared” in the high-profile lawsuit in which he was mentioned – that assumption is incorrect.

According to Fightful Select, WWE’s legal department approved Lesnar’s return only in recent weeks. However, phrasing like “WWE’s legal team cleared him” has been widely misinterpreted online.

Lesnar is named in the Janel Grant lawsuit but not a defendant, and his legal status hasn’t changed in the public record. In fact, Grant’s legal team has indicated that more could emerge during the discovery phase, meaning this matter is far from resolved.

Privately, WWE had taken a very strong stance against including Lesnar in any capacity. Following the emergence of the lawsuit, and as WrestleMania approached last year, there was still heavy speculation that Lesnar would make an appearance.

However, one WWE higher-up told Fightful flat-out that Lesnar would not be returning any time soon – a statement that held true for nearly 16 months. Throughout 2024, company officials repeatedly denied any immediate plans for Lesnar’s return. At one point, staff were explicitly instructed to omit Brock Lesnar from all promotional materials, including video packages and highlight reels.

Notably, the only other name blacklisted in that same directive was Vince McMahon. But in the past few weeks, that hardline policy around Lesnar reportedly began to soften – paving the way for his return to WWE programming.
